Tour Overview
This 9km tour follows the Pakuranga Rotary Shared Pathway along the banks of the Tāmaki Estuary, from Ōhuiarangi Pigeon Mountain in the east to Panmure bridge in the west.
Highlights
Easy walking and riding along the shore of the Tāmaki River gives extensive water views. Some exposed geological features are to be seen.
How to get back
You can return by the same route, or catch bus numbers 561 or 72M back to the start point.
Walk or bike?
The tour can be done either on foot or by bike. For bicycles it would be best to join the tour at Prince Regent Drive, as the path down from the start at Pigeon Mountain contains some tight gates.
