Tour Overview
Thank you for deciding to participate in the Plateau Pacers 5th Anniversary Community Walk through and around Plateau / Africatown. This annual event is more than just a walk — it is an opportunity to experience the culture, history, resilience, and living stories of one of the most historically significant communities in America. Over the pastfive years, support from participants like you has helped Plateau Pacers contribute thousands of dollars toward local schools, scholarships, youth programs, and community initiatives. None of this would be possible without your continued support and participation. This year's experience incorporates elements of the STQRY platform to create an interactive historical tour connecting participants to landmarks, stories, and locations throughout the community.
The mission of Plateau Pacers is to preserve local history, inspire youth, encourage healthy living, and strengthencommunity engagement through educational and cultural experiences. By combining walking tours, storytelling, technology, and historical preservation, we hope to create experiences that honor the legacy of Africatown while inspiring future generations.
