Tour Overview
The West Bluff Trail at Devil's Lake State Park offers visitors a breathtaking journey through one of Wisconsin's most scenic natural landscapes.
Access to the trailhead is a set of rock steps conveniently located near the park's North Shore entrance just prior to the park's Nature Center, with parking available for visitors. A daily or annual Wisconsin State Park System vehicle sticker, available online or at the North Shore drive-up service station at the entry to the beach and camping area, is required to park anywhere in the park.
Scenic Views: The highlight of the West Bluff Trail is undoubtedly its stunning panoramic views of Devil's Lake and the surrounding countryside. As you ascend the trail's rock steps, you'll be treated to sweeping vistas of the sparkling blue waters below, framed by towering quartzite bluffs and lush forested slopes. The contrast between the rugged cliffs and the tranquil lake creates a scene of unparalleled natural beauty.
