Tour Overview
Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site offers a self-directed audio driving tour starting at the Museum's parking lot.
Through the tour, you are audibly guided to different sites around Oil Springs that trace the evolution of oil from its humble 1800s beginnings, through its 1900s growth into the future of energy production and innovation in this current century and beyond.
The tour finishes at the Fairbank home. From here you can see, arguably, the most photographed barn in Southwestern Ontario.
Maps can be provided at the museum and regular admission rates apply.
Please remember that all of what you will see is still an active industrial site with many hidden dangers. Please do not go beyond any fences, or barricades, or wander onto private property.
