Tour Overview
Welcome to Port Talbot. Home of steel, a handful of Hollywood stars and (until recently) the first Banksy in Wales.
This walking tour will take you around the highlights of the local graffiti and street art, including some Port Talbot legends from Hazard One, Legomen from Ame72, a number of stunners from local talent Rarebit and lots more vibrant street art from across the UK.
The chimneys and furnaces that you will see over the rooftops belong to the biggest employer in the area, Tata Steel. They are also what drew Banksy here to create one of his best known and most loved stencil art works "Season's Greetings". Although the Banksy has taken the M4 East on the back of a lorry, a number of high profile street artists have since flocked to paint this proud industrial town.
The tour starts with 'Port Talbot is a colourful town' by Accent, close to Port Talbot parkway train station.
Once you have started the tour, please read the information below each photo, which will explain how to navigate the street art trail and app.
We hope you enjoy this outdoor gallery: the people, stories and streets of Port Talbot being the inspiration for the art you will see.
