Tour Overview
Since the days of the early settlers, people have worked this land. Agriculture, logging, milling, and coal mining were the primary occupations of the early inhabitants of Garrett County. In this tour, we explore how people made a living here in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The tour begins in Grantsville, then proceeds to Accident and Oakland, and concludes in Kitzmiller.
