New Urban Wild

Refugee youth-led walk provides you with an counter-story telling of the places in an urban city. Their exploration of the city involves not only understanding of dominant history, culture, and social world, but also, more importantly, discovery of hidden and erased stories of indigenous, black, refugee, and immigrant lives. This discovery led the refugee youth to redefine the territory and places by creating their own story in relation to the places, which would serve as a counter-cartography. They will guide you many different places of an urban city including park, book store, cafe, museum, grocery, Indian reservation, ghetto, river, and forest, etc.
