Vanished World Self Drive Route

This tour will take you to some of the geological and cultural sites in and around Duntroon. It includes Māori Rock Art sites, fossil sites, historical sites and a wetland.

Some of the stops involve walking on uneven paths and across farmland - not all trails are suitable for people with mobility issues. Many sites on this trail are on private land. Please respect the privilege of accessing the sites and follow the instructions given by landowners. Protection and guardianship are at the heart of the Geopark philosophy. We ask you to treat the sites with respect, do not remove anything from these sites and preserve them for our future generations.
