About Bialik House TLV

Bialik House is the former home of Haim Nachman Bialik, Israel's national poet. Built in 1924 upon his arrival in the Land of Israel, the house was designed by architect Yosef Minor with Bialik's full involvement in its planning and design. Located on Bialik Square in Tel Aviv — a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site — the castle-like house is one of five cultural landmarks that make up the square. It serves as a museum, archive, and cultural centre, offering a window into Bialik's creative world and the unique aesthetic of early 20th-century Israel. Following a major restoration in the early 2000s and a centennial renovation by the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Municipality in 2023, the house has been returned to its original glory. Visitors can discover the vivid original wall colours — blue, green, and red — restored original furniture, and the poet's personal art collection. Today, Bialik House hosts guided tours, exhibitions, literary events, workshops, children's performances, and an archive of rare manuscripts, poems, and personal documents.
